Chapter 18

After Julian was broken up with, news of his late–night drinking quickly. became the hottest topic at Hufter University. No one could have imagined that this campus golden boy would be heartbroken over a relationship.

When a few of Saoirse’s roommates informed Saoirse of this, Saoirse’s first thought was to dismiss it as nothing more than a made–up rumor.

It was just a breakup -how could Julian possibly be upset over her? But then Queenie sent over a few high–resolution photos that had been

secretly taken.

Seeing Julian slumped over bottles, drunk out of his mind, left Saoirse speechless.

Several roommates sent Saoirse their questions.

“Saoirse, I thought you said you weren’t that close. Why is he so upset?”

Saoirse had no idea. After thinking for a while, she boldly guessed that he might have just tried to confess to Georgina and was rejected. Otherwise, she couldn’t figure out why he would be so heartbroken.

Georgina also received these widely circulated photos.

Some friends asked if she had argued with Julian, which might explain his dejected state.

Seeing the photos, Georgina, who had been angry the day before, finally calmed down. As she recalled how tired Julian was yesterday, she suddenly became understanding about the fact that he spoke to her harshly.

Moreover, she didn’t have the best attitude. She had scolded him a bit in the heat of the moment. It wasn’t surprising that he turned to drinking.

Knowing him for over a decade, she understood that he kept everything to himself. So, she decided to seek him out to avoid causing him further embarrassment.

When she arrived at the address, Julian was still downing drink after drink. His friends tried to talk him out of it, but he only focused on drinking.

Upon Georgina’s arrival, the people in the room quickly ushered her in as though she was their savior.

“Gina, why did you take so long? Hurry and tell Julian to stop drinking. If he keeps going, he might end up in the hospital.”

Seeing everyone’s anxious expressions, Gina put on an apologetic look.

“Geez, why don’t you just take him away? How can I stop him when he won’t listen to me?” she complained.

“Oh, stop being modest. Everyone here knows Julian only listens to you. In fact, he always listens to you.

Flattered by their praise, Georgina approached Julian and tried to take his bottle away. “Stop drinking, Julian. Come with me.”

Julian looked up at her through his haze and swatted her hand away.” Mind your own business!”

Georgina’s expression turned stiff.

Seeing this, the others quickly intervened. “Julian, this is Gina. Won’t you go home with her?”

Thinking he hadn’t recognized her, Georgina tried to help him up, only for him to roughly pull away from her. “I know you’re Gina,” he grumbled irritably. “Don’t touch me. I’m not going with you.”

Georgina clenched her fists, her face turning pale.

Julian then made a statement that seemed to make the temperature drop.

“Call Saoirse. I want her to come get me.”

Hearing the name, Julian’s friends gasped in shock.

Saoirse? But they broke up, didn’t they?

Was Julian drinking himself silly because of Saoirse, not Georgina?

Once that thought crossed their minds, no one dared look at Georgina’s.

face.

After repeatedly being dismissed by Julian, Georgina was filled with rage. Hearing Saoirse’s name only made her erupt. “You’ve already broken up with Saoirse!”

“Yes, we broke up.” Julian buried his head in the bottles. His voice was

filled with sorrow. “I went to Poralis to win her back, but she doesn’t want me anymore…”

Georgina felt something snap when she heard Julian mumbling about Saoirse.

She was in utter disbelief.

Was he uncontactable because he went to reconcile with Saoirse? Was he acting like someone without a soul because of the breakup?

Unable to handle the revelation, Georgina splashed a drink on his face. She shrieked, “Julian, what is the meaning of this? Are you in love with Saoirse?”
