My eyes catch Naomi and like I have been compelled. All my movement stops.
My
breath catches in my throat
She is standing in a crimson red dress that seems too good to be true.
The dress vibrant red stretches across her body to accentuate every curve she Carries.
Her skin seems to be glowing with this softness I cannot even fathom. It is as if the dress has awakened every sparkle within her.
The fabric is dangerously hugging her gure, and is also showcasing her slender shoulders and neck
The dress is a seam of masterpiece, but it would be nothing without the woman in it.
She brings it to life so well
I am transfixed, my gaze lingering on Naomi like a seagull, sunable to tear away from the woman in front of me.
Just yesterday 1 thought I was going to go mad seeing her in such little clothing, the swimsuit barely covered her up and it did do something to but looking at her now fully covered up, I can’t deny the sanity it is eating inside of me.
“You look wovely mommy!” Jake stumbles with his words.
Naomi laughs and her coated lips immediately reflect the light to give her lips a shine I did not expect.
“Thank you baby” she beams at Jake and then at Blake who goes on to hug her.
When her eyes lock with mine, she smiles at me.
“Are we ready to leave!” She asks.
I come back to life and throw a nod
“Yeah” 1 say faintly, like a coward.

“Never seen one!” I retort as I watch the driver come out to get the door for us.
She rolls her eyes.
“Isn’t it too grand!” She asks.
“When it comes to parties like this. You can never be too grand” I say and gesture for her to walk in first.
She sighs and walks into the limo.

When I seule in front of Naomi, I take her face in to see how disturbed she looks.
“Everything okay!” 1 ask.
She sighs. “I’m just nervous”
“Why?” I press, grabbing the bottle of alcoholic wine set at the center of the limo for us

“Excuse me?” She scoffs.
“You heard night,” I continue.
She looks around the car before looking back at me.
“That’s even worse, I’ve never been to a fancy party where
where people just wa
want to show off,” she adds.

“It’s nothing” I say and it is true.
She has nothing to worry about.
“I don’t know if I’m

“Please. More” she stretches the cup towards me.

“It’s the last. I just need something to wake me up” she pleads.

“Mommy. I want that too” Jake says.
“Oh honey, this isn’t for kids. It’ll make you see monsters under your bed” She gulps the entire bottle.
Jake stumbles back and he and Blake stare at the wine in my hand like they’re looking at the most gruesome thing man has created.

I love how she knows how to say no to them, to make them stop demanding things. She’s so good with them.
I know I said I never wanted anything to do with her.

But if I’d have to choose anyone to be the mother of my kids in another universe. I would not hesitate to pick Naomi.

the limo’s driver pulls up in front of the city’s most grand hall.

The limo’s door opens by the driver and I become the first to make my way out of the vehicle.

It’s a McCain gathering, of course reporters have heard about it. Even if it was decided at the last minute.
The twins jump out of the line next and every camera turns to their little attention.
They seem to like the attention and start to pose in every angle they can

I turn to the open door and help Naomi get out of the car.
“Whoa” She shrieks at the amount of cameras swiveling towards her face.
