Alexander POV.
My phone buzzed on the table, vibrating against the wooden surface. I glanced at the screen, Ethan’s name appeared in big, bold letters. My chest tightened slightly. It was unusual for him to call me this late.
I answered quickly, “Hey, buddy. What’s up?”
“Dad. Ethan’s voice was small, shaky. “Mom hasn’t come home yet.”
My heart skipped a beat. I stood up from the couch, my mind already racing. “What do you mean? It’s late, she should’ve been home by now.”
“I–I don’t know. She’s not here.” His voice wavered, and I could hear Emma in the background, her tiny voice saying. “Where’s Mommy?”
My hand tightened around the phone. “Ethan, put the nanny on the phone.”
There was a shuffle, and then the nanny’s voice broke through the line, worried and rushed. “Mr. Alex, it’s true. I’ve been trying to reach her, but her line is unreachable, And… the driver. Mark…he’s not answering either.”
Panic rugged at the back of my mind, but I forced myself to stay calm. “Have you tried calling anyone else? Her office, her friends?”
“I called her assistant, Grace,” the nanny said, her voice laced with tension, “but no one’s heard from her. I’ve never seen the kids this worried. They keep asking for her.”
My pulse quickened. Christiana was never this late without telling someone. I glanced at the clock, each minute felt heavier than the last. Something wasn’t right.
Stay with the kids. I’m sure there’s an explanation. I’ll figure it out,” I tried to reassure her, though my gut twisted in knots..
Suddenly, I heard a commotion in the background. The sound of the nanny gasping filled the line, followed by deep, hurried male voices. My grip tightened on the phone as I strained to hear what was happening.
“Nanny? What’s going on?” 1 demanded, my voice rising.
Her voice came back, trembling and breathless. “Mr. Alex, I… Mark’s just returned. H–he said… they took her.”
The air in my lungs seemed to vanish. “What?” My voice came out harsh, almost a growl
“Ma’am Christiana,” she stammered. “Mark said–he saw it happen. Masked men. They… they kidnapped her.”
For a moment, the world tilted beneath me. My heart slammed against my ribs, and I could barely hear anything over the roar of blood in my ears.
“They what?!” I barked, my entire body tensing, muscles coiling with a sickening surge of rage.
“Mark was there,” the nanny rushed, her words spilling out in a panic. “He said there were gunshots.. he couldn’t do anything. They dragged her into a van and drove off. He… he came here as fast as he could.”
Everything inside uje froze except for the fury building like a storm in my chest. Christiana had been taken. Someone had dared to kidnap her. My Christiana.
I slammed my fist against the table, the sharp pain grounding me for a second. My mind raced, alternating between the anger burning through my veins and the fear creeping in. Who were they? What did they want with hết

Chapter 82
“Stay with the kids” I sand through clenched teeth, barely able to contain the tremor in my voice. I’m coming now
I hung up before she could respond, my heart hammering against my chest. I paced the room, the air suffocating around me. Every nerve in my body screamed at me to do something, to find her, to make these bastards pay.
But fear gnawed at the edges of my anger. The thought of her alone, afraid, nearly drove me mad. I swallowed hard, trying to control the violent surge of emotions, but it was no use. The fear, the rage, they were consuming me, threatening to break
I grabbed
keys and stormed toward the door, my jaw clenched so tightly it hurt. Whoever they were, whatever they wanted. I’d find them. I’d tear the world apart to get her back.
As I rushed out the door, a single thought echoed in my mind: God help them if they hurt her.
I stormed into the police station, my mind racing, every fiber of my body vibrating with rage and urgency. The moment I entered eyes turned to me. I didn’t care. The only thing on my mind was Christiana, my children’s mother being taken by goddamn kidnappers.
I marched straight to the front desk, my voice coming out like a low growl. “I need to speak to whoever’s in charge. Now
The officer behind the desk looked up at me, startled by my intensity. She blinked twice before asking, “Sir, can you
“Now,” I cut her off, my gaze hard as steel I didn’t have time for questions or procedures. I was Alex Williams Alistai, and my family was in danger. They’d damn well listen.
Her face paled, and she quickly nodded, picking up the phone to make a call. Moments later, I was ushered into a room with the head detective, a grizzled man in his fifties. He stood up as I entered, sizing me up.
“You’re Mr. Alistair,” he said, extending a hand I didn’t take. “What’s this about!”
I didn’t bother with pleasantries. “Christiana Davis, my children’s mother was kidnapped. I need every available officer looking for her now”
His eyebrows shot up, clearly not used to being given orders. He gestured for me to sit down, but I remained standing. Tell me what happened,” he said, his voice calmer than I liked.
I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to keep my cool. “She was taken right outside her office. Masked men. Guns. Her driver aw it happen, but they were too fast.”
The detective nodded slowly, scribbling something on his notepad. “We’ll put out an APB, but it’s crucial we handle this properly. Have you received any ransom demands? Do you have any reason to believe this is connected to your business?”
Ha question made me pause. I hadn’t even thought about the business aspect. For all I knew, this could be some sick attempt at leverage against me. But I wasn’t going to wait for demands. I wasn’t going to sit around and do nothing
“No ransom yet,” 1 bat out, “but I don’t care. I want action. I’ll pay whatever it takes, but I want her found immediately.” The detective raised an eyebrow. “We’ll do our best, Mr. Alistair, but these things take time-
“I don’t have time I exploded, slamming my list down on the cible “My children are at home asking for their mother! You think I’m going to sit here and wait for red tape while she’s out there
with god knows who?”
He stared at me, the tension thick between us, but then his expression softened slightly. “We’ll deploy a task force. I’ll make sure we get eyes on any camera footage from the area. But if this is a kidnapping, we have to handle it delicately. We don’t want to make things worse for her
I hated how right he was. Every part of me wanted to go out and tear the city and

these people knew what they were doing. For now.

“Fine.” I said, my voice quieter but still sharp. “But if I don’t hear back from you within the hour. I’m going to make sure someone else handles it”
The detective nodded, recognizing the threat behind my words “We’ll keep you updated.”
I turned on my heel and stormed out of the statio
