Linda walked straight out without bothering to speak to William.

Not willing to give up, William followed her.

Jay and the legal assistant exchanged glances before trailing behind them.

Outside the police station, Samson’s Bentley Continental GT stopped in front of Linda. He got out and opened the car door for her before naturally taking her bag from her hands.

“What do you want to eat later?”

“I’m fine with anything. Where’s Chloe?”

“She came with me but received a call earlier. She should be waiting for us by the roadside.”

“You’ve already sent the legal team, so you really didn’t need to come all this way.”

“Picking you up isn’t a waste of time, especially since you’re the vice president of YK Media. As your superior, I’m responsible for your safety.”

Linda smiled gently at him.

“Let’s go eat,” she said.

“Sure. Let’s get in the car first.”

Just as Linda was about to get in, someone grabbed her wrist.

It was William, who had been waiting quietly on the side.

He thought Samson and Linda looked like a married couple. He felt suffocated with pain.

“Mr. Wilson, do you need to talk to me?” Linda said with a polite, faint smile.

“Yes, but let’s step aside. It’s not convenient to talk in front of outsiders,” William said, emphasizing the word “outsiders” as he glanced at Samson.

“Mr. Wilson, are you serious?”

Linda was amused. “Samson and I are together. In this situation, you’re the outsider.”

“Linda, can’t you give me a chance?” William’s tone was filled with desperation,

Linda looked at him mockingly. “No, Mr. Wilson. Didn’t you hear what I said back at the hotel?

“Why would you want me to repeat myself and get yourself hurt again?”

Samson pulled Linda away from William. “Mr. Wilson, as I’ve said before, please have some dignity. We’re

at the police station. It wouldn’t look nice if you were arrested shortly after filing a report.”

Linda caressed her wrist and sat in the front passenger seat.

Samson gave William a slight nod. “We’re leaving now. Goodbye, Mr. Wilson.”

Through the car window, Linda said, “Mr. Wilson, since you were hurt because of me, I should take

responsibility. You can rest assured. I’ll handle everything.

“Today has been quite unsettling for me, so it’s not convenient to entertain you at the moment. I hope you won’t take it the wrong way.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Samson started the car and drove away.

They picked up Chloe, who was still on the phone when they reached the roadside.

After a long drive, Chloe’s call finally ended.

“Did something happen again?” Linda asked.

“Not really. Ida wants to handle the matter through the designer she plagiarized.”

Chloe took a sip from a can of soda.

“The designer’s assistant just called me to ask how we should proceed.”

“Chloe, if you need anything, just let me know.”

Samson wasn’t very familiar with their industry’s inner workings, so he didn’t get involved.

Chloe smiled. “Don’t worry, Samson. Linda and I won’t be reserved with you.”

“You’d better not be.”

Outside the police station, William stood rooted to the ground. Jay dared not interrupt him.

After God knew how long, a police officer came out and told them to leave. Only then did William get into

the car.
