Chapter 90
-CIRCENN-
“Cincenn!” Jennie’s familiar voice wafts through the air before her body comes crashing against mine, her arms wrapping around my body before pulling me into an unexpected hug
Well to be honest, she’s a hugger so I did expect the hug.
“Cucenn!” Trent’s voice cooks me up as I disengage my uncalled hug with Jennie and then to him

I take a step back to take all of them in.
“Trent Roland. Jennie.” I pause to look at them all
They were not the reason I built his villa, but they’re one of the reasons I come here ev

Trent Frequently comes down here for work, and I had no idea until he modeled for one of m publishing that month to go viral due to how stunning people thought he was.
Trent began coming down here on a regular basis to spend time in the city, and eventually became a lifeguard at the beach. Which prolonged his stay here.
We started off rough, but then we became acquaintances, and then became friends.
Jennie.
Jennie, on the other hand, has been a
a friend of mine, since I was seven.
Her father and my father have had a cooperative relationship with business and certain private matters, and they have allowed Jennie and I to conduct each other’s business because they are partners,
Although Jennie and I have mutually agreed to leave our past issues behind us, we did have a romantic involvement in our early twenties. However, we’ve never revisited or discussed it since then, almost as if we’ve collectively agreed to pretend it never happened.
Despite this unspoken understanding, we’ve managed to maintain a friendship, seemingly free from any residual feelings or tension.
We don’t have feelings for each other, not ever, Not anymore.
To be honest, I never had romantic feelings for Jennie.
I only went along with the relationship because I felt a sense of obligation and pity after she confessed her feelings to me,
At the time, I was vulnerable and grieving the loss of my mother, and Jennie offered a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on.
Even though I explicitly told her I didn’t want to take advantage of her kindness, she persisted in her offer of comfort and support.
I was in a weak spot, and she was there, so I accepted her help, even if it meant pretending to reciprocate her feelings.
Jennie resides in this part of town because she’s passionate about her career as a ballet teacher, and it brings her joy.
Despite our complicated history, Jennie is one of the few people who truly understands me, having been privy to intimate details about my life, including my marriage to Kimberly.
Interestingly, Jennie was never a fan of Kimberly, often expressing her disapproval and dislike for her energy.
She was one of the few who openly opposed our marriage, showing a level of insight and understanding that few others had.
Well the three of them have played a really important role in my life that I’m never willing to change. Sometimes, you don’t need some alone time to grief. You need people who would make you heal
“Okay. You’re looking good” Trent comments, taking a sip from the bottled water in his hand.
“Nice see you too” I sigh.
I glance at Naomi and catch her fidgeting, looking a bit bothered by the sudden company.

“Never thought I’d see you this summer Roland scoffs, his brown hair looking frizzled as usual.
“I’m here now” I shrug, gesturing to them to take a seat on the fine couch clearly made for them.
“You look different” Jennie stands in front of me, her hand on her hips.
“had different or good different?” ask.
She ults her head, her ginger hair catching the light, and her eyes locking onto mine

I’m left wondering if I saw a flicker of jealousy, or perhaps something else entirely – a hint of disapproval, a dash of surprise, or even a glimmer of curiosity.
Whatever the emotion, it’s clear that Naomi has taken note of the tender moment between Jennie and me
And I’m glad she did.
I take a step back from Jennie and gesture my hand towards Naomi.
“Guys, this is Naomi, my wife“.
Jennie’s head snaps at Naomi and I hear her gasp.
“Oh wife,” Trent calls out.
The guys get on their feet and hurdle around Naomi to give her a proper greeting
Naomi bats her lashes at me before stretching her hand out to shake theirs,
“Nice to meet you Naomi, I’m Roland Roland smiles at her.
“Gosh, I’ve heard so much about you, you look.. good” Jennie draws her words as she shakes hands with Naomi.
“Thanks” Naomi sounds mad.
Trent approaches Naomi with a deliberate slowness, his movements measured and gentle.
He reaches out and takes her hand in his, his fingers wrapping around hers with a tender firmness.
Then, with a subtle smile, he gives her hand a soft, lingering shake, his touch conveying a sense of warmth and reassurance.
The fuck is wrong with him?
“Nice to meet you Naomi His voice is too cool and I can tell when he’s being flirty, and he’s already throwing his playboy act on my wife.

Roland slaps his back and he chuckles and lets go of Naomi.
Trent is a dick head, as I like to call him. He doesn’t believe in relationships and yet uses his good looks to get women to wish for one with him.
Naomi chuckles at Roland’s words and walks up to me.
And in a whisper the breathes out
“You’re dead for introducing your friends to me and me to them, when I look like a half baked cake that didn’t get a proper sleep”
“Do cakes sleep?” I whisper back and she sneers at me violently.
“Naomi, Jennie call.
“It’s really so nice to meet you in person. You and Circent are not easy to skip out on on the internet I just want to see the twins”

“Well, I should probably go get them” Naomi rushed her words and I know she just wants to get out of this conversation, this company, for looking

Well, she looks good to me.
“Sure” Trent smiles at her
As Naomi turns to leave, she navigates through the narrow space between us, her body brushing against mine. In a moment of awkwardness, my animentional nudge sends her stumbling forward, her feet tangling together.
She lets out a faint gasp, b

Naomi’s cheeks flush with a mix of embarrassment and gratitude as she meets Trent’s reassuring gaze, her eyes sparkling with a silent “Thank you”
