Entrapment 64

Chapter 64

–NAOMI

As the morning arrives with the gentle caress of a breeze, I slowly open my eyes to a familiar sight – my niked body, a testament to the unforgettable events of the previous night.

The memories of our sex still linger vividly in my mind, enched in my memory like a permanent scar

Last night’s encounter has cemented its place in my recollection, forever etched as an indelible mark on my

soul.

The intensity of our intimacy still resonates within ine, making it impossible to forget the wild touch, the soft intoxicated whispers from circent. and the unbridled passion that we shared over and over again, even after reaching our peak.

As I lie here, exposed and vulnerable, I am reminded that some nights are destined to leave an indelible mark on our lives, and last night was undoubtedly one of them.

My body aches, but it’s worth it. My neck doesn’t feel in place with my body, but it is worth it too.

I tum to Circenn beside me and he looks so pole and innocent fast asleep.

Of course, he looks pale and drained, a shadow of his usual self.

After last night’s exertions, it’s no wonder he’s exhausted and dehydrated.

The intense energy we shared, combined with the alcohol and sheer physical exertion, has taken its toll on his body.

He’s spent, both physically and mentally, and it shows in his pale complexion and limp form

No doubt he’s paying the price for our incredible sex.

pain,

I slowly get up and the soreness of my legs hits ten times harder than it already hurts and I find myself wincing to its pair

I drag myself to the closet, grab a robe to cover up, and head downstairs. The maids are already up and about, bustling around the kitchen.

I move slowly, still feeling the aftermath of last night’s escapades.

I get to the kitchen and meet one of the maids who offers to help me make coffee.

“It’s okay” I say to her.

“Let me help you instead,” Elena comes out of nowhere, her words are fast and her actions are faster.

She stands behind the kitchen counter and gets close to the coffee maker machine, waiting for the other maid to evacuate the premises

She turns to me.

“Good morning” Her words are flat and my brows fall at

-You don’t have to make me coffee you know” I say

ber.

It’s not her job. I get that she’s the maid personally assigned to me to help with personal things, but I don’t want her to do things like this.

“I want to,” she shrugs.

I can tell she has an ulterior motive or something to say to me,

“Okay” I nod

Good thing I’ll be seated here, it’s not like 1 don’t trust her, I don’t but. I feel like I know her and she definitely wouldn’t poison me.

Ilon’t know that though.

Nobody actually knows anybody.

Elena bross the coffee in silence, her eyes darting towards me every so often, her attention wavering from the task at hand.

The sound of gungling roffer beans and the aroma of freshly ground beans fill the air, but the tension between us is palpable.

9.10 AM

Chapter 61

Her gaze lingers on me for a moment, as if searching for something, before she quickly looks away, her cheeks flushing slightly

The silence is thick with unspoken words.

1 can’t take this silence anymore.

I finally speak.

“What’s going on Elena!” I press.

The words make her hand stumble and the coffee mug in her hand almost cornes crashing, but she immediately catches it

Geez.

Whatever is going on with her?

She expertly prepares my coffee, adding a splash of milk and a spoonful of sugar, just the way I like it. Then, the hands me the cup, her eyes meeting mine in a brief moment before she decides to ask.

“Are you okay, miss!”

Okay?

I raise

my

brow.

If she tries to taunt me about last night she has somehow mistakenly overheard, I’ll bite my tongue till I bleed.

She’s always so observing it’s scary.

“I’m okay, why do you ask that?”

I take a sip of the coffee, and the warm liquid hits the spot, its rich

flavor and

rand aroma jolting me

me awake,

dmy

The bitter notes spread through may senses, chasing away the lingering fogginess in my mind. As I savor the taste, my senses come alive, and entire being feels revitalized, ready to tackle the day ahead.

Elena looks disturbed.

“Elena, is something going on? If something’s going on with you, you can totally tell me I wave my hand and pull the coffee down.

She sighs.

“It’s not about me”

“Then, is it about me!” I press.

She nods.

“What” I tilt my head, confused.

She leans in close to me and says.

“The other night, 1 overheard Sir Circenn talking to someone on the phone, and I promise I was not eavesdropping”

More hints to give me that she was definitely cavesdropping,

I nad.

“It’s okay. I believe you”

She relaxes at my words.

“Ma’am, sir Circenn’s ex wife is still legally married to him”

“Kimberly““Esquint

Chapter 61

“Yes” Elena claps gently, that’s the name he called. “Kimberly, he was talking to his assistant and telling him to get a lawyer to get them fully And she has a baby girl that might be truly his child.”

At first, Elena’s words sound like a jumbled mess in my ears, a confusing blur of sounds that make no sense

But as I concentrate, her words start to untangle themselves, slowly becoming clearer and more distinct

It’s as if my brain is gradually shaking off the haze, allowing me to focus and understand what she’s saying, one word at a time.

Shit.

I drop my coffee.

“How is that even possible? How can they y still be married when they are divorced ages ago” I turn to Elena.

She shakes her head.

“I have no idea ma’am”

Of course she doesn’t

She basically just eavesdropped on the conversation not involved

You didn’t know about this?” she asks,

I shake my head, a bit flustered.

“I don’t. But why are so worried about it Elena”

Because news flash, it’s my marriage, not hers.

She sighs.

“Because. I enjoy being your personal maid. And If Sir Circenn can’t help it and gets married to another woman or goes back to his ex wife, you’ll be forced to leave and what If his new partner doesn’t want me. Or worse, what If every maids here gets fired and new sens are asked to be hired.”

I almost smile because she’s adorable and that was a very logical and rational thought from her

“How old are you Elena?” I ask.

She looks surprised that I’m asking.

But I truly just want to know

“Twenty one” She replies, looking flustered.

Ined

-Well

Elena, you

have a long way to go and you have nothing to worry about. It is my marriage and I’ll handle it” I smile

“Well thank you” she beams and I can tell she’s feeling assured already.

Elena leaves me to enjoy my coffee alone, and as soon as she’s out of sight, my facade crumbles.

My smile, which had been plastered on to hide my true emotions, falters and falls away, revealing the turmoil beneath

I’m forced to confront the reality that I’ve been trying to ignore – Em trapped in a marriage that’s spiraling out of control, and I’m powerless to stop

I know this

and our would be nothing of my concern. Me and Gincen don’t Laney each other. We are only minted and living here because of the media

Hut why is the thought of Kimberly still around his life armoying me to the point of insanity

i know how they’re still legally married.

This shouldn’t be a source of worry for me, but somehow it is, and I can’t seem to shake off the feeling

And then there’s the child

9.10 AM

Chapter 64

I really won’t mind if the child is Circenn’s. I can expect something like this from him. Having multiple women give birth to his child.

He’s the city’s prime. Every woman would fall to their feet for his looks and money.

Just like I did thanks to his money.

my best efforts to brush it off, the thought lingers in my mind, refusing to be dismissed.

Despite my

It’s as if my brain is fixated on this one thing, and I’m powerless to stop the nagging sense of unease that’s taken up residence in my thoug

I finally leave the kitchen without finishing my coffee and make it back to the bedroom to freshen up

But when I get in there, Circenn is already awake, fuming

I

pause when he turns to me.

“How could you do this to me?” He begins.
