Chapter 6
Four years
Later,.
CIRCENN’S POV
I only get the Black Palace when I’m either dead or you get married! And that is final
“You will
I don’t say a word, and I watch my old man rant about the same thing over and over again.
It’s been four years, and he’s still talking about me getting married like a loose chiki.
He’s not backing down.
I detest the word marriage.
Ever since my ex–wife Kimberly thought it was okay to let go of me, why should I try so hard
When I can just fend for stability.
“Kimberly was perfect, I don’t know why you let her go. If you were still together, you would have had at least three kids. I’m a bit disappointed. I’m growing lonely.” my father grumbles.
Here he goes again.
He is completely unaware of what transpired regarding Kimberly or my health condition. For which Kimberly left me for
But I no longer care at this point.
Let the past worry about itself.
Furthermore, if I were to disclose my infertility to my father, I would bid farewell to the Black place, because he would see me as hopeless.
My medical condition is only known to my assistant Ralph and that peculiar warnan from four years ago who wept over her pregnancy saying
was mine
Certain people are genuinely peculiar.
I turn to
to my father
“Talk about loneliness; you have your wife and her daughter to keep you company
I sighed and got on my feet.
“You have so much already. Why do you want the Black Palace so badly!” My father asks for the one hundredth time.
“You know why.” I glare at him.
Then bring me a kid, and it’s all yours” He scoffs.
Yeah, I can’t do this anymore.
“You can raid one of my hotels and get a lady pregnant to give you a kid: you’re not so old yourself,” I pounce back, causing my father to growl at
“You damn boy!”
Ralph immediately enters the room and greets my father, who blindly ignores him.
With Ralph used to it, he turns to me and lets out a satisfied smile..
The mansion has been prepped for the party: guests will be arriving soon; you should get ready.”
“Right, I almost forgot tonight’s the night of my resort opening party, thanks to a special someone.” I glance at my father, who clears his throat
He’s an impossibile old man.
“I don’t see why you put so much effort into business parties when you can use that effort for a wife and a kid. Don’t you get u! Why do you think t

remarried
“I’m not like you, father; I don’t care about those things! Now quit nagging; I have a party to host.” I sigh before walking out of his office.
He nags all the time.
This is my seventeenth attempt in five years of trying to convince him to hand me the rights to the Black Palace empire, but yet I failed again. Or he’s still holding on to his damn result
If there was just a way to get fake marriage papers and have him believe it, then I’d do that
But for now, I have to focus on this party, I spent the last four years just for tonight, and I can’t let any thoughts ruin what I’ll be having
I prepare myself and meet Ralph in front of my car, where he is already waiting, outside the unit owned by my father.
“How is the party going!” 1 ask, and Ralph turns to the iPad in his hand.
“It’s going as planned, and it is storming the internet too. And as expected, Greg Monson is present. Everyone’s going crazy about that. To get Greg Monson at your party, you’re already impossible to reach,” Ralph smiles.
“I know that. But my old man doesn’t,” I say as I get into the car’s passenger seat.
Ralph gets into the driver’s seat.
“The walters? The instrumentalis-
“Circena, everything is perfect. There’s absolutely nothing to worry about. I assure you, everyone practiced, they’re important people present tonight. I’ll be crazy for letting things take a wild war.
“Good” I sigh. “Not one mistake tonight; I can’t risk four years for anything”
“Of course” Ralph starts the car
I arrived at the location of my Parry, and Ralph was indeed correct. Guests appear to be enjoying themselves immensely, and the venue appears to be immaculate.
Upon confirming my presence with the guest lists. I enter the mansion while feigning a pleasant expression.
Although I do not particularly enjoy parties, I enjoy the activities we partake in
As I had intended. Upon entering my own party, I immediately extend greetings to the VIP’s, who are the daring businessmen who would negotiate transactions with me as if it were nothing.
Once I had greeted my initial two significant attendees, I proceeded to Mr. Xavier, a board member whom I had faith would prove to be useful in
the future.
As I commence my conversation with him, an enclosed and unsettling voice begins to emanate from the party, capturing the attention of all present. In excruciating pain, I find myself clenching my teeth and turning my head.
I swear to God, 111 destroy anything that tries to rain tonight for me.
I turned to the old man in front of me and forged my usual faux smile.
“Ah, sorry. Mr. Xavier, can we halt this conversation? There’s something I’d like to take care of
“Yeah, of course,” Mr. Xavier stretches a weak smile, gesturing with his hand for me to go.
Damon it.
My eyes search the party for Ralph as I walk away from Mr. Xavier, and I immediately see him walking up to me with a horrible expression
“What is going on?
“Sir. We have a problem.” Ralph cuts me off
“There has
is a woman outside trying to put up a fight with the security guards because her name is not on the list.”
The hell!
“This party is as confidential as my list, so who in the world would know about it and not be invited? Let her in, so this place can quiet down a bit. And bring her to me when you do let her in.” I clear my throat as my eyes search for discomfort in my guests eyes, all heads glancing and glowering towards the entrance door.
Ralph walks away, and as I stand there waiting, the sound of a muffled, nagging young lady comes to an end, and I feel myself breathe.
I give my guests an apologetic look and watch them turn to the scones and wines.
Whoever she is, she’s not going to like me after tonight. For trying to ruin my party.
Ralph starts to walk in my direction, and I notice a woman behind him.
She doesn’t seem familiar–not a businesswoman or the wife of one.
Ralph approaches, and as he walks away from the woman behind him through the thin crowd, I notice she is a tall, curvy, and sophisticated brunette.
She is attired in skinny jeans that flawlessly cling to her waist and hips, and a white satin top that elongates her torso.
Hundreds of illuminating lights in the room provide me with an impeccable view of her ocean eyes.
Wait, why do they app
appear so familiar! And those jelly lips
Who the hell is she?
I don’t notice anything until she stops walking upon seeing me, and I realize she even brought parties to my party.
Two identical twin boys, dressed in white, stood side by side with her.
Five feet away from me, the boys, you could tell they were either her kids or siblings, as she looks super young to have them and as they looked a little bit like her and more like….
My mind goes blank immediately.
No way.
She signals her boys and gives them both a corky look before turning to face me.
I watch as one of the boys taps her leg and points at me.
“Mommy, is that daddy!”
